Conducting Polymers

Dr. Beveridge is working on the use of melanin as an organic conducting polymer.

This work was initially started by Dr. John McGinness at MD Anderson when he created a bistable switch in 1973.

The melanin "switch" is now in the the Smithsonian chips collection (picture above).
